That’s right, Taylor’s band is going on their first headlining tour and we have the tour dates after the cut! Sadly they aren’t coming to my town, but hopefully some of you can go see them in concert!
I’ve added the performances and shoots I could find on my own for The Pretty Wreckless, I know there’s some missing, but for now I have to say I’m rather proud of myself with how much I was able to gather.
What are your thoughts and opinions on the video? I think Taylor looks gorgeous but I’m not crazy about towards the end of the video and what she’s wearing though.
The The Scented Salamander has a review of the launch of the new John Galliano fragrance that Taylor is the face for up on their blog. There’s a video and some pictures, as well.
Taylor Momsen was dressed in either a black satin bustier dress with trashy fishnet stockings or a loose pink corset with gold passementeries wearing garters, laddered black stockings and towering platform shoes, the latter costume which recalled the coded get-ups of meretricians of old. Pink and black were the two color codes of Parlez-Moi d’Amour, which is named after a famous song interpreted by Edith Piaf.
SPIN magazine’s got some behind the scenes stuff for their upcoming article about Taylor and The Pretty Reckless on their website.
When asked about the basis for these suggestive lyrics, the otherwise chatty Momsen chooses her words carefully.
“I’m not really sure how to answer properly yet,” she admits. “I’ve had a lot of bad experiences, and whether that’s from sex or drugs or something else, they are adult experiences that would f— anyone up.”
When the time seemed optimum to launch a music career Momsen went hunting for a team. And hey, if you were a serious 16-year-old musician which would you choose — some kids from a local garage, or solid, talented vets? — Smart out of the gate that one.
With performances six times a week in a different city every night, Momsen’s home away from home has become her tour bus, which she shares with her three male band mates. She considers them family.

Momsen said she’s enjoyed her first tour with the band because she’s been able to play shows, meet fans and sleep more on the bus than she did back in New York, where she was acting, modeling and recording all at the same time.
True, Momsen’s bandmates seemed a little creepy – what’s a 17-year-old doing with a bunch of ragged, old-ish rockers? – but their heavy, groovy tunes, with a touch of ‘90s grunge and ‘70s psychedelia, were so spellbinding, it was easy to forget about age differences. With a little more chutzpah on stage – she looks confident, yet a little hesitant to reveal her personality — she could be the front-runner to star in any future Janis Joplin biopics.
